There's a lot to learn here, but worth the time investment.. SO this is a freeware that is not the easiest, but once you learn the ins and outs of how to use it, the possibilities are endless. It takes a little work to download it, but for the more avid user of a computer, this won't be difficult. Pros: Great for the beginner or more advanced users. Cons: A little more difficult to download. Takes a little study to use all the features.

Need Another Copy of a Favorite DVD?. SmartRipper 2.41 has been around for a while and for good reason. It is fairly user friendly for those technical oriented people. This software is also fondly called a DVD ripper and will "rip" a copy of a DVD to your hard drive. From there you can then choose how to burn the DVD movie to your own CD/DVD disk. The process goes fairly fast and you can keep an eye on its progress with easy to read displays showing its progressing in "ripping" a DVD. Pros: It is quick an easy to use for the technical novice (like me) and likes all Windows operating systems, at least that I know about. Cons: Every so often the process of "ripping" stopped midway through. I am still unsure if it has anything to do with my computer or user error :) However, when it worked for me, it was great.
